Dirgahayu 67th

In this momentous independence day, i'm going to make a review of an inspirative book. Some of you may have known about this book.
http://www.merryriana.com
Tittle: Mimpi Sejuta Dolar
Author: Alberthine Endah
Pages: 362
Publisher: Gramedia
Published: 2011

This book contains an inspirational story of Merry Riana. Based on her true story, her struggle to get ahead through difficult time. I've heard about this book for months but i already bought it on July 27th.

At the early chapter i was bored of how the writer describes the same situation again and again. I guessed, for making the reader fully understand about the hard times that merry should endures that day. I stopped a few days then continue reading again and was starting to like it. If i didn't bet that it would be inspirative maybe i had stopped. haha

Every time i read a motivation book, i stay awake and keep my mind, not all the values are good for us. But i began to open my mind in the mid of this book. I always remember pg 198:
It says about maturity needed in success and also failing. When we fails, don't blame your self and should logically analyse the cause. Also when we got success, the maturity keeps us humble.

Read a whole book can boost your energy to keep on your effort for your goals. The best of all, a connection to today. even she live in singapore (forced on may 1998 riots) , growing up, struggling...in Singapore, she still dedicates herself for Indonesia. She didn't forget her motherland.
Once more, i also sppreciate her husband who is willing to support her from the back, instead of become the stars infront. He beats his pride as a man, what a humble man. He is happy for the success of his wife, they are a model of a great team work. Fit up each other without envious motivation :)

She gets a lovely smile, isn't she?
On the earliest page you can read:
"I'm Merry Riana, dedicate this book for my lovely Country, INDONESIA."
Currently, she become a motivator in indonesia.

One day if i were in europe taking my master degree in europe, i'll remember it. :D

The last thing that i wanna mention is about our habit as Indonesian citizen. Don't we often say,"This is Indonesia....what's are u hoping for?" in Indonesian translate: "Namanya juga Indonesia...."
The phrase have a hidden meaning that the country is so bad, it's like all bad things are inherent in the soul of our country.
What i wanna say, stop cursing your country, that's true if we all know those flaws or maybe poorness but that's not a reason. Oh maybe you can barely doing that if you've done something for Indonesia (?)

MERDEKA!

Sleepover

It’s been a thousand years plan that my two bridesmaid (way of calling my best friends) wanna stay the night at my home. And.... it seems perfect in the beginning of this month to carry out the plan. Unfortunately, elfin couldn’t join us because of her pra orientation tasks from the university. That is why in this post is about me and citta only. Yup, i only have those few bridemaids. -___-
Actually i have another bestfriends,Tika in Jogja, Andari in Padang, and Ririn in Medan. What a gap between us. *sigh
Alright, we still enjoy the day together. Citta turned up in the afternoon on Thursday, August 2nd. Actually, we spent the day playing with my nephew, keeran. Citta is fond of kids and cooking, she is the most ‘woman should be’ among us.
At 8 pm, She accompanied me to pasar modern BSD to satisfy my craving of Ronde. Finally....i got it....!!!!! I really like ronde, rangi, sekoteng, various kind of snacks from Betawi. After that we still ate Bakmi medan around there. And then going home with a full tank face.

At night,  i felt like hiding the most wanted criminal in town. Her mom phoned several times because of the camera’s charger. She lost it, actually left it in elfin’s car last hangout and elfin couldn’t find it. Meanwhile her cousin, whose the camera belongs, wanna use it the next day. Citta said, her father couldn’t stop talking about her clumsy on the way to my house. And she was desperately sad, because the original charger cost 450.000 IDR, exactly! She lost her budget for the new bag. Haha :D
But citta is still her, she didn’t ruin my day because of the problem, we still could laughing all night. Particularly on my childhood love story . Psssstttt
Then we slept with a promise to wake up on 5.30 am, jogging time!
As ussual, we failed. We did wake up early....doing a little walk in front of my house, to the yard, going back home...and made a breakfast. An omelette by Citta and Mom! Of course a slight contribution from me. :p
Tomato omelette
It was so hurried that citta should back in the afternoon with her father cause i had to go to church on the evening.  Later we’ll spend our time in Mangga Dua, hunting for college stuff. ;)
As the end session, we did nail art together. It’s so true, two clumsy people doing nail art is a chaos.
Here is the rule, we make our left hand by ourselves and then we make each other right hand. Look at the result! Haha and you'll know what kind of chaos that i mean.

July postcards review

Hi there! it's my time to show you some postcards that i've received in July. I got 10 postcards :)
I won't explain too much, i let you read the message by your self.
I always feel happy whenever i open the mailbox and there is a lovely things inside. Even when it's empty, it's still a surprise.
The first two postcards not really arrived on the date, maybe sooner cause i already could register those cards after back from Riau.
from Egory in LATVIA| Received July 4th'12

from Nadzeya in BELARUS| Received July 4th'12

The card below isn't from Armenia, it's sent from Germany as you can read the message.
from Byurakn in GERMANY| Received July 5th'12

from Lucka in CZECH REPUBLIC| Received July 5th'12

I wrote on my profile that i love water color picture, maybe the sender consider the card as water color? i don't know but...i appreciate all cards. :)

from Ramses in Finland | Received July 6th'12
from Sharon in Hong Kong| Received July 6th'12
from Viktoria in Russia | Received July 10th'12

The next one is a little bit special for me. I open the mailbox, i saw the picture and laughing ROTL. I show it to my sister and she was laughing either. It's a spongebob card! You will know how funny it was when you joint postcrossing...waiting from a card randomly from all over the world and one day you got a card from Australia-maybe you're hoping for a kangaroo or the theatre building- but in fact it's a cartoon character that you can easily found in your country.

from Caitlin in Australia| Received July 11th'12

It's been like a month since someone in postcrossing asking me for direct swaps. She is from Hong Kong and collecting wedding postcards for her bestfriend who is going to get married. I remember that i bought a book of cards in Kinokunia (Pondok Indah Mall) and it contains wedding theme. For the reply i asked for sparrow or water color picture of Hong Kong. Then i derived this one, a cute sparrow :)
from Alexias in Hong Kong| received July 18th'12

The last postcard in July, the first multiview cards of Goslar, a small town in Germany.
from Markus in Germany| Received July 19th'12
This far....i realized that postcard brings you surprise and also knowledge. I love surprise and love every single details it tells me.

As i said before, i appreciate all cards. But i have the best stamps of the month, and it is from.......*jeng jeng jeng........
Lucka in CZECH REPUBLIC

They're really cute :3
